Diving Deep into Oscar’s Perspective

About Me

My name is Oscar, a undergraduate student in year3 studying in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
I am majoring in Artificial Intelligence and Information Engineering and I also minor in applied mathematics. This means my major studies a lot of engineering stuff including computer systems, communications, algorithms, IoT hardware, etc. But the funny thing is we are granted bachelor’s degree in science.
To be honest, I don’t have a clear idea about which field or career I will do in my future. I am willing to be a tech guy, but find my talent limited in that area. Regarding academic performance, you could say it is satisfying so becoming a researcher also works fine for me.

Anyway, writing this blog isn’t for anyone else but record my own life and journey ( also show that I have a personal blog to my employers if I will be finding job in the future). Things about future plans and major subject, though important, but not everything in life. I have been using so much mind digging into these and find myself empty in many other things. This blog will help me remember and trace my experience in my whole life. So, my story after 20 starts from this and will continue to be written

Be a Player.

Philosophy Behind Life

I am in my 20s when I finally decide to write this blog seriously. In my first 20s I have reflections a lot, especially due to the high pressure in my middle and high school life. I thought and then I forgot what I have summarized. After I have transitioned to another stage, e.g., middle school to high school or high school to university, I have new ideas and mindsets.

I would say that it is in my university life that I have gained many “wisdom” I believe, like reflections that are more practical. I mean, in high school you are locked in a weird and unnatural life pattern, which is studying all day for simply one thing, exam. You have limited aspects of experience. But in uni, at least you are free. Unis in HK, like PolyU makes you have basic interaction with the society and that makes you starts to have some true thinking.

To make it short and come back to the point I try to make here.
